Ask yourself.. what are you looking for in a candidate?

-Do you just want someone who waves the right flag?  Plays for the right team?

-Are you looking for someone whose campaign largely revolves around supporting/opposing some other candidate?

-Does the candidate you're looking at talk about the problems that need to be fixed.. but offers no answers as to how they plan to fix them?

Take a real look at the candidates that you're considering and think about these questions.  Do you feel like you're confident in them to represent you or is it one of the situations from above?  Maybe it's time to consider something new.

For too long our politics have been ruled by opposition, fear and division.

Nothing will change.. unless WE change it.

The answer to any problem with government lies with us.. the people.  If we see breakdowns in effectiveness, candidates and policy but refuse to change our habits then we can only blame ourselves.  But instead of blaming ourselves, maybe it's time to take responsibility for our country's future and make the changes that will benefit us all.  But for that to happen we have to be objective in our political choices and hold those elected accountable.

But what's the best way to do that?  First and foremost we have to take a look at our candidates as individuals as opposed to an arm of any party.  Look at their platform.  Look at their stated issues.  Does what they're campaigning on actually address the big issues that we face as a nation today?  Do they offer any solutions?  A path forward that actually addresses the problems they list?  You will find that most do not.  Our elected representatives can't just be people who agree with us on what's wrong.. they need to be able to lead us to better outcomes.

That's why I'm running a campaign based on solutions.  If you care about whether or not your representatives will accomplish anything worthwhile.. consider me.

My campaign is based on a few, basic problem solving tenets that are necessary to legislating effectively...

1) Pragmatism- If you can't look at a problem objectively or analytically then it's becomes nearly impossible to solve.  This explains why so little gets accomplished in congress today.  Any forward motion is generally held up by partisan bickering or inability to address the source of a problem due to getting distracted by the symptoms.  I aim to change that.

2) Objectivity- Without objectivity, focus is lost and problems go unsolved.  Currently we see congresspersons more interested in promoting party interests or building their next campaigns to address what needs attention.  Often the solutions are less the "right" answer as opposed to the "right now" answer.

3) Liberty- Freedom is what our country was built on, what we believe in and what has given us the most magnificent society the world has seen.  It's freedom that has gotten us where we are and policies that move to destroy that freedom do nothing but harm to our great nation.    If we attempt to solve problems by  ignoring freedoms then we aren't solving problems.  We have to be "freedom first".

TO SUM IT ALL UP...
